But on the real I have a beat that's causing like a crazy ass problem for me when i try and put a drum beat on it....

its all a rock sample but its made in a certain way that i know when i get a beat on it its gona sound like a hip hop track

Its not polished or anything its real rough..... but just see if you can do something.....you'll get half the credit of the beat........its killing me, mostly because it already has drums in it cause it a sample........ if you can put the right bass and kicks and sare in certain part i think you can get it sounding good.......try it, im gona post it right now.....its called Dreams

It really depends on the song im making ......For example this song was made with a sample I downloaded, did the beat and the two chords you hear throughout the song with a Yamaha RM1X Sequencer, and just mixed and converted in Acid Pro 4. The sequencer is like my main tool when i make any beat. I dont really use FL Studio all that much because of the quality, tho i do sometimes use it to get ideas flowin from time to time. Dont ask me how i got the sequencer....

But basiclly thats how it goes down for almost any beat. Oh an if i can get my hands on my boys keyboard, shit goes down for real at that point.

aight......and yeah if you can do some lyrics in a studio for this it'll be fire, send that shit to me when you finish

im not going to give you any samples, you have to dig for them yourself.. a good idea is to start with your parents or relatives records... Its easy to hook up a record player to a pc.. you can get a cheap turntable for about $100.
record some shit, then edit the samples using Soundforge. The programs i use are reason, soundforge and cubase... I also have equiptment wich allows me to record vocals with an acceptable quality... mic preamp and a mixer...
